Steelhead Fishing Catch and release of a stray summer run steelhead that shows up in Eagle Creek with Matthew Clark. Not all that uncommon but makes for a nice little high water segment. A fly rod with a drift rig is used for this C&R clip. Eagle creek can get as many as 200 of these stray cats on any given year but are not planted or natural to the creek.

We hooked fish on the ice that were jumping in open water behind us numerous times. The Ice we were on was 12 inches thick and was very solid. We were also next to shore and had safety equipment avalable if need be. It was a blast.
