Bill and fishing buddies. Varies tackle and techniques use in catching fish. Local scenery and interesting things that happen on fishing trips.
To find out about other fantastic products such as FBR™ for salmon, trout, stripers and halibut trolling and trout fishing go to http://www.sheltonproducts.com
How the self releasing quick out trout catfish bass bait hook works. To find out how the amazing self releasing hook works and to see the animation of release action go to http://www.sheltonproducts.com/sheltonrelease.html To find out more about my advanced fishing invention go to http://www.sheltonproducts.com To see my video movie theater with a incredible list of how to and action fishing video go to http://www.sheltonproducts.com/sheltontheater.html To see a video of the TadPole snagless weights go to http://www.sheltonproducts.com/tadpole.mov There were two hook mortality study done with them in the Eastern Sierras and sponsored by US Forest service and local business men in Mono and Inyo Counties that proof the mortality rate was equal to or less than fly fishing mortality. Since you aren’t breaking off hooks in fish and with the TadPole snagless weights, not breaking off in rocks, you get in more fishing time because you are not down re-rigging so that gives you more time with your bait in the water and you improve your catch. This is especially important when you have kids, as you will not spend all of your time re-rigging them. It is especially a good feeling seeing them swim away. Berkley Power Bait and these hooks and TadPole make one of the most effective trout bait rig there is. Catch and keep, no problem, you get the hook out instantly, and catch and release couldn’t be easier. Regarding self-releasing hooks. They are design to release fish without touching them. Basically how they work is the eye of the hook is at the bend of the hook and the leader line goes through a flexible plastic sleeve that goes over leader line and when the sleeve is slid down over the shank of the hook it is set and fish just like a regular fishhook. The sleeve has a second line tied to the top of this and parallels the main leader line and is attach by a sliding 3 turn uniknot tied with thread. When you slid the red knot up by pinching it or using a pocket comb it slides the sleeve up and the hook rotates and self releases.
A hot new lure SBR™, Shad Bullet Rotator™ and MBR™ Minnow Bullet Rotator™ for trout, stripers and mackinaw. Trout fighting, jumping and airbatics. The fantastic trout catching rig. We had most action by trolling near shore early and deeper after sun came up. To see a testimonial on the fantastic SBR™ go to http://www.sheltonproducts.com/SBRTestimonial.mov To see pictures go to http://www.sheltonproducts.com To see how to bait up the MBR™ Minnow Bullet Rotator using a Shasta Tackle Paddletail rubber bait go to http://www.sheltonproducts.com/MBR howtobaitHighspeed.mov
To see a movie on catching a bass on that rig go to http://www.sheltonproducts.com/MBRBasson.mov
To see how to use the a SFD™ Shelton Fish Descender™ go to http://www.sheltonproducts.com/SFD.html
Fish that have their air bladder inflate and float can be kill by birds and other predators. Using a SFD™ inline with standard fishing gear gets the fish back down and lets the water pressure recompress their air bladder. Do this with minimum loss in fishing time.

Lake Cumberland tourism for 2008 continues its resiliency with news like this. Host Tim Farmer and renowned fishing guide Randall Gibson provide needed relief for skeptics. While construction crews are hard at work pouring concrete to repair the dam, cold-water habitat and trout are just as busy, giving anglers all they can handle. Five and 6-pound brown trout are plentiful, and so are reasons to come back to the Cumberland.
