Bipolar Disorder Symptoms – How It Looks Like

Bipolar syndrome symptoms differ in little children when you compare them to the symptoms adults are having. Due to the fact that children habitually suffer from ADHD or other behavior illness, it is easy to mistake that with a bipolar disorder. There’s another problem with using ADHD medicine on kids – it can set off a mania attack if that child has bipolar disorder symptoms. A further example for the dissimilarity between adults and children is that kids are likely to be more distressed during the mania phase of the bipolar disorder. Children are also a lot more likely to hear or see imaginary things, as they undergo a psychotic episode. It’s also easy to see a very big difference between kids and grown-ups, in the length of the sequence, being much shorter with children that it is with adults. While it takes weeks for adults to go from mania to depression, it may take a day in children.
