i am fixin to get out of high school and i what to choose a good career is a fishing guide service a good job. can i make a living off of it

You can make a decent living at it, but more important, you can make a very good life out of it.

Jumping in right after high school is probably a good recipe for failure, though. I would start out working in the industry and gaining all the experience you can. In addition to fishing skills there are business skills and people skills that are necessary to running a successful operation. Continuing your education in business would be a good start. Keep in mind that any business requires an influx of capital to get started and one of the leading causes for new businesses to fail is being under capitalized.

So in summary I would say hold on to your dream, get a job and an education in your desired field, save your money and then in a few years you should be able to set out on your own.

thanks

There is only 2 ways really that have a nice ratio of money and exp.

1 – Fly fishing at shilo (salmon and trout) – 65k-80k exp/hour, 25kgp/hour
2 – Net fishing at piscatoris fishing colony (monkfish) – 40k exp/hour, about 150kgp/hour

Don’t try sharks as they are much lower than monkfish. Quests are needed to do these 2.

I found an autominer that actually works! even with the new updates (fatigue).
Get it from http://runescaperelax.tripod.com. It works by recording your clicks,
it will mine a full load of ore for you and then take it to the bank, then go to
a bed and rest for you. It will also smelt, smith and fish. I mined 1000 coal in
one day using this thing!

How to get easy money:
———————-

If you have access to the members world, go to Ardounge and enter the house next to
the cake stall. (This door needs a certain theiving level, if you are not yet of
sufficient level go to the opposite house, and train on the door there and the chest
inside.) When inside the house, to the right of the door is a ladder. Go up this
ladder, and you will see two chests. In the chest farthest away from the ladder, and
nearest the bed is Nature Runes. Keep stealing from the chest and you will get lots
of Nature Runes. At current Runescape prices Nature Runes are around 100-300gp. If
you are unable to access members world, dont worry. Go north of Falador untill you
rach the mountain. go round the left hand side of the mountain so that you have the
Goblin Viallge on you left. Keep going up untill you reach the Wilderness. At level
3 Wilderness there is a Dark Wizard spawning site. Collect runes here and sell them
in Falador.

Getting money is very hard, but i got the best way.there are two ways to make money
very quick. first is to buy coal ore for 100 each then make them into certs and sell
them for 1k each.but u need at least 500 gp to start this business.after a while u
can make 2.5k a turn.many players are trying to get coal ore. second one is more
dangerous but u make 30k in about 40min!!!i will tell u while u playing. add me on
runescape for this tip t o m a t o who is my weak guy lvl 38.i will provide free
help to any player or email me.

while you are running runescape on ur character click on run then type regedit. It
should go into some file then click ctrl and f type jagex stats it should come up
with some more files. dont click anything just press f3 untill it shows this code
02434476 4438. now change the first 4 digets to s,s,s,s. then hit enter, now it
should come up with all your stats you have on runescape. if you want to change
them so they go higher double click on them. (recomend you dont put them higher
than 95 or your player might get detected) cilck exit on the window and log on to
runescape and your players stats will be changed to what you changed them to. I
surgest you dont tell everyone or you wont be the best player because everyone will
be the same. for more infomation email me at jellybeanjames@hotmail.com.
Have good fun!

best thing to do get money is to fight for money or work for it fight monsters like
lesser demon that drop rune medium helmet it can be sold for some money and you get
very much money by selling to a player. Is only 7 k sold in shop but can be 20 or
higher sold to player. and dont fish except you know good place where people need
food. mine coal sell 100 normal each but sometimes they sold 45 gp its not good idea
to make that all others make and sell in same shop.

Easy money:
———–
Go to Port Sarim, west of Draynor village, and ask one of the people in the blue

I’m talking about the guide at the tip of the rod?
thanks

The main difference between it and the other guides is it’s at the tip of the rod. That means there is more potential friction (with the line) there than anywhere else, since the line usually enters it at a greater angle than it goes through the other guides. On offshore rods, the tip is often equipped with a roller (even if the rest of the guides are ring guides) as this reduces wear on the line. On lighter rods, the ring on the tip should be made of the toughest material available, to resist grooving and to reduce line friction.

Also, it is generally mounted onto the end of the rod rather than held on with wrapping thread the way the other guides are. This is so there is no stub of the rod blank protuding above it, which can lead to tangles. It also makes it easy to replace if it’s damaged or broken off.

I am going to assume that you want to hire a guide on Lake Michigan…

Try this site: http://travel.to/greatlakes

Nice list of charters by harbor. Waukegan and Winthrop harbors are generally more productive than city of Chicago harbors because you can get over deeper water quicker. At least that is my experience.

Pick a boat that fits your needs, make some calls and book it. Most of the captains talk to each other and know where the fish are at any given time. Early in the summer, virtually every boat limits out on Coho rather quickly. Later in the summer, the fish are bigger but not as plentifull.

If you are looking for other types of sport fishing, I am not much help other than to tell you that not a lot of that goes on in the immediate Chicago area.

Fishing guide you will need a captains license for the state you will be working in plus MUCH experience.

To be a hunting guide you will first have to meet all the requirements to be a packer as well. ( Western States)
Then you will be known as a guide/packer.
You have to pass all kinds of test, one being the red cross first aid course, know how to pack and take care of horses, set a wall tent, etc. And someone might hire you for a fall hunt to see how you do.
Hunting guides as well as being a fishing guide are usually seasonal, unless you live where the water will not freeze.
Not a very easy life but can be very enjoyable, especially in Wy, Montana & Idaho.
