    new haven harbor is a great place to fish. I used to flyfish for striper up there… i fish jersey and delaware these days. This will certainly work- ive caught several fish there in the past on a similar setup with “saltwater assassins”. I would rig these plastics with a carolina rig, as if fishing for largemounths… God luck

    Just strike as you normally would. The point is already outside the rubber body. If the fish strikes hard enough and you have a sharp enough hook it usually hooks itself.

    Yes but as shown it’s unweighted to it will be tough to cast into the open surf. Better to rig it on a jig head instead.
